Put a Dot and Never Erase It….

September 19th, 2006 by salvaaltea

Putting an end to something that you are used to is indeed tough. It took  a lot of attempts in order for you to be successful in doing so. I had a lot of attempts to cease a friendship or let say even deeeper than that. However, there’s what they call "eraser" and a strong force that keeps on delaying what you ought to do. I realized you should be firm enough to stick on what you plan to do. What follow next is how tough are you to face the consequences of the decision you’ve made. There’s always a choice between sticking on what you think can make you happy even its wrong and doing the right thing. Its not easy to wake up with a dream. The lesson is don’t let yourself be fooled with that dream or else you’ll wake up catching your breath coz a beautiful dream had turned into a nightmare. One last word, live with reality not with illusion. That’s the way life is supposed to be.

Lessons Learned Recently

January 23rd, 2006 by salvaaltea

Below are the lessons I’ve learned on what happened last weekend (January 21 and 22):

* If we value one person. its not an assurance that he/she will value  you back

* It’s hard to extend a helping hand to another person if he/she don’t know or even has the will to help himself/herself.

* Its useless to fight for a relationship even if the other half gave up…. and he/she didn’t informed you.

* Love can never change a person.

The Year that Was (2005)

Here are relevant events happened last year in my life. I decided to divide it quarterly. Well, this is just my tradition. =)

1st Quarter

  • Started my caregiver course at SPI-Urdaneta

    Batch 6
THE BATCH  6 sitting(L-R): Kuya Ronald, Jun,  Ate Anita, Sir Kim and Nap standing: Ate Susan, Ate Rita, Ate Marlyn M, Ate Marlyn D, Ma’am Elen, me , Richelle, Ate Malou, Sheryl and Ate Lisa

  • Topsy-turvey situation at work

2nd Quarter

  • Caregiver class experienced lost of track however I gained three great buddies: Ate Susan, Richelle and Jun

with Richelle, Ma’am Necy, me and Jun

  • Back to work! STI-Urdaneta was moved at its new home at McArthur Hiway, Nancayasan Urdaneta City

3rd Quarter

  • Experienced the REAL WORLD of caregiving. My classmates and I were off for our On-the-Job Training (OJT) at three different health institutions: Asingan Medicare Community Hospital (AMCH), Breaking Barriers for Children (BBC) and Bahay-Puso Apostulate Foundation (BPAF).

  • at AMCH

    at BBC

    at BPAF
  • Revelation shocked me at Bahay-Puso Retreat Center and I got NDA afterwards. (Sept 2)

4th Quarter

  • At last graduation took place for our caregiver course (Oct 1 at Urduja Hotel). It was fun though I got a lil disappointed with some misunderstanding about our group brought by some unavoidable circumstances.
  • Early December, our home was decorated with Christmas. In this year, I was able to wrap and distribute gifts to the people close to my heart.
  • At the last two months of this quarter. The journey with NDA was in a wavy shore. The year ended up with a lot of questions left unanswered.

Goals for the Year of the Fire Dog (2006)

Aside from pondering what happebed on previous year, it’s my tradition to set goals for the new year. Some of my goals for the year 2006 are in my "I want …" list.

~ Wedding Bells? ~
Ok, I admit I’m already 25 years old that’s why the frequently asked to me is: "When are you getting married?". Sometimes I really got pissed off with the old question. Last year, I do received a marriage proposal but til now I haven’t answered it yet coz I know deep inside me, I’m not yet ready for a married life. I also admit that I would like to marry a good man and build a happy home BUT it will be pursue before I got 27 or 28. Oh, well…. I hope so!

~ Masters Degree ~
Yup! Most probably on June. I’m planning to took up Masters Degree in Business Administration. I’m not yet sure which university to enrolled. Anyway, I still have five months to choose.

~ Expanding Horizons ~
1. Driving Lessons
2. Foriegn Language (French, Korean or Mandarin)

That’s it! I just hope and pray I will pursue them even just 75% of it. If God’s will everthing will happen. Happy New Year to all of you!

Recent FAQs

November 20th, 2005 by salvaaltea

"Do you love him/her?"
"How much do you love him/her?"

The above questions tingled my ears these recently past days. Honestly, if you’re gonna throw these questions to me, you won’t get a word. Its not that I don’t have an answer or I’m not certain with my feelings. I believe answering such questions is not the most effective way in measuring how much a person loves another person for most uttered words are like feathered snow, they melted as they fell. What is uttered words without actions that serve as premises to the mentioned statement? Why won’t we just observe a person’s actions in order for us to obtain our query regarding that matter? Remember, people will not believe you on what you say but they do believe in what you do. Just like a verse in a Bible: "Let’s not love in words but in action." If you would like to comment with my point of view, you may post your comment. I’m very grateful to hear it.

Til here folks!
